SouthDowns

The SouthDowns Way adventure-the South Downs way is again a National Trail and spans over 100 miles from Winchester to Eastbourne. The entire length can be transverse by bike with wonderful views over the downs with the highlight of coastal views toward the end. It can be completed by the casual cyclist in 3 to 4 days whilst the fitter rider can be expected to do it in 2 or even a day for those really up for a challenge. It is best to do both the Ridgeway and SouthDowns way in May, June or September when the weather is drier avoiding the summer holidays when pressures on accommodation are greater.
