This is an interesting route that follows the high Chiltern Ridge on flat quiet roads, then drops down onto the Ridgeway for the return. It offers a variety of great views and is a good taster of the Ridgeway. Although this is one of the most rideable sections of the Ridgeway it can still become very muddy in winter. The route starts from Cowleaze Woods (Chiltern Sculpture Trail) near Stokenchurch. To get to the start from Stokenchurch go down the A40 towards the Telecom tower. At the tower turn left (signposted to the sculpture trail). You will come to the wood on your left after approximately 1 mile. There is ample free parking.
