About Us.

Saddle Safari is a real bike shop which has been in Marlow since 1993. We are essentially a proper shop selling proper bikes with staff that know and love their cycling. We pride ourselves on being able to providing for ordinary cyclists and family’s whilst also catering for the more specialist and experienced riders out there.

Being a relatively small shop with six experienced full time staff, we are able deliver excellent customer service and attention to detail. We strive to offer a service which is as far removed as possible from the usual experience that you tend to find with larger corporate cycle chain-stores and online only retailers.

We are open 7 days a week. - Monday to Saturday: 9am - 5.30pm - Sunday: 11am - 4pm - Open Thursday until 7pm from April to October.


Online Store.

Our new online store has been created to be a friendly and helpful extension of our real life shop, With the aim to act as a useful tool for new and existing Saddle Safari customers who are unable to make it into the shop.

The site has been split up into helpful categories depending on your style of riding and contains all the useful tips and advice that you have come to expect from the guys at Saddle Safari, along with the opportunity pre-order and pay for any new bikes and equipment for you and your family. You will find a selection of some of our best selling products hand picked from our large in store range. We are based in Marlow (Buckinghamshire) located near the top of the Highstreet on Crown Lane which is just off Spittal Street (SL73HL). Just follow the alleyway next to Austin's sandwich shop and you can't miss us.


Why Buy From Saddle Safari?

We are a Real Shop! This means your bike is properly built and set up by our fully (Cytec) qualified mechanics. Being a proper shop, we will deliver (or you can collect) a fully serviced and set up bike to your home with all the specifications you require. When a bike comes from an online retailer YOU have to set it up, service it and be responsible for sorting out the teething problems that most new bikes tend to have. If you feel the bike is not quite right for you or is the wrong size, we are always ready to answer any questions you may have and exchange the bike if necessary.

We are Always On Hand for Advice and Adjustment.

If you have bought your bike from us we are on hand for advice and to do the tweaks and adjustments that all new bikes need. Our workshop is open 7 days a week to keep your bike in tip top condition. Our workshop is primarily for Saddle safari bikes and we won’t charge you for little jobs on your purchase, Nor do we charge you to fit any accessories you have selected.

We like to have your bike back after approximately 2 months to perform a FIRST FREE SERVICE. This allows us to re-adjust any components on the bike that may have come out of alignment.

Any warranty issues are sorted out as a priority. Your guarantee is with US the retailer NOT the manufacturer.

Your Account Card.

All new bikes come with a Saddle Safari account card. This features your individual account number and entitles you to 10% off all purchases FOR LIFE on parts, accessories and clothing. We also keep a full back catalog of your bikes details, service history and purchase history-so you have a real record of your bikes life along with details of any recommended work for the future.

Priority Servicing and Repairs

We have a tremendous demand on our workshop-especially in the summer.

50% of all of our workshop service and repair slots are kept aside for bikes purchased from Saddle Safari, this means at peak times you will get seen faster and can be back on the road much sooner.

Free Book of Local Bike Adventures

To get you going we will give you a brand-new copy of our ” Local bikes Adventures “book featuring 20 great local rides all within a 14 mile radius of Marlow.

Free Guide Book to Bicycle Maintenance and Lubrication.

You will also receive a simple maintenance guide book in which we record all the important details of your bike together with reminders for your first free service and any subsequent services. We will also give you a complimentary bottle of lubricant for your new bike which will start you off and keep you and your new steed happy!
